Hugo's Place is a 500 acre homestay for dogs situated near Makomako on the eastern side of Aotea Harbour New Zealand, on Waikato's west coast between Raglan and Kawhia, approximately one hour from Hamilton.  Your dog will live with us in our home and be one of the family, along with our own very sociable labrador Hudson an ex. Guide Dog Services dog.

Guest numbers are limited to 3 dog guests at any one time, unless all dogs are from the same family group.

Daily farm and forest walks and summer-long swimming at our own beaches will keep your dog fit and entertained, while still leaving plenty of time for that much-needed snooze on the deck.

Hugo's place is ideal for medium to large size dogs. We also have experience with giant breeds including Mastiffs, Great Danes and Anatolian Shepherds. Hugo's owner Jude has a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Animal Production from Massey University and a veterinary nursing certificate.

Pick-up and drop-off hours are flexible, and we can also pick up and drop off in Hamilton for a fee.
